Several years ago I had Yukon air lockers installed in the front and rear differentials of my 2012 Jeep JK.
The rear locker has been used a fair bit, but I almost never use the front. Got to thinking that the front locker might have been a waste of money.
However... I've found that the front locker is superb for pulling the Jeep through old snow drifts in the spring! It seems to help quite a bit.
I've had some "iffy" experiences with the rear locker and also with a tight limited slip in the rear diff, on icy, snowy roads up in the mountains. Danged things have made the rig fishtail, and come close to going off the edge of the road, with a long, long way down to the bottom.
So... in those conditions I love having the air locker back there, 'cause I can leave it OFF unless needed.
The front locker? Well... Snow drifts! Yup, that worked great, especially if I had a little snow-free strip of dirt or rock to get one of the front tires on.
So... maybe it wasn't a waste of money after all? Just something I don't use very often.
I dont use mine very often either. In fact the only time i've used it is to get out of situations where I hoped to use my lockers. Like boldering or deep snow on purpose, but never to get to a destination. I will say as the FJ80 has them as a factory option, its a must have. Though only 7% of them coming into the US makes them hard to find.
If I didn't have factory lockers, i probably would not install a front. As I'm growing up I'm finding myself Overlanding more and hitting the jeep trails less.

Well Guy if you are not finding much use for your front locker you are not trying hard enough, Or at least that is what I used to say in my younger years when 4x4ing primarily. Now I am with Jeff, I find myself exploring more than looking for situations to use a locker.
However, I am running a stock limited slip rear and an open front, so I am thinking of putting in a front locker for just in case times.
I like your setup with selectable lockers so they may seem like an unneeded expense until you need them they are worth their weight in gold.
