Got out for a few hours on my "light overlander" a Suzuki DL-650 that I've had for nine years. Was roaming Douglas County, Washington and found backroads I'd never traveled before. Grabbed a few photos and thought I'd share 'em here. A motorcycle ride almost always puts a smile on my face:
My dirt-riding skills are not so hot. I stick to dirt & gravel roads for the most part, not real dirt-bike stuff. This bike has taken me on some grand adventures over the years. A ten day tour of seven western states in 2013. Did the northernmost 200 miles of the WABDR (Washington Backcountry Discovery Route) in one day on it. Just a lot of great rides. My son calls it my "old man's bike" and he's right, but it works for me:
I enjoy following roads like this - just to enjoy the ride. Those big boulders are called "erratics" and were left there from ice-age floods!
