(some of this is in my trucks thread)
The family and I were going to go camping over the weekend and test out the new RTT but as most of you know there was a freak storm that came into the PNW this weekend. We still ended up going but just made a day trip out of it, We went to the Tucannon Campground. There are multiple ways to get there, we took Hatley Gulch Rd out of Dayton to Kendall Skyline RD to NF4620 and up Tucannon Rd to the camprground. If you go this route i hope you have good breaks and can downshift to a low gear, i ended up having to put the truck into 4Low to slow us down enough coming down Kendall Skyline Rd.
We ran into some snow up top of Hatley Gulch and Kendall Skyline
stopped for a pit stop for the family after making it down the hill
made it to the Tucannon campground, its a nice little campground with a couple group spots, one of which has a gazebo. the spot we stopped at for lunch has a lean-to which was nice to get out of the rain but didnt do much for the 31 degree temps at 1:30 in the afternoon.
wifes gonna hate me for this one lol
theres a small stream behind the lean-to
Theres also a bridge over the river to get into the campground
A few pics showing my artistic side lol
Down the road a ways we stopped at Beaver Lake. there is a walking bridge over the river to get to the lake.
