Not alone. We have secured supplies. Food for maybe 28 days or so for all four of us. Masks. Water purification. Hand sanitizer. Need more water though. Water storage is a tough one with the limited room we have.

Well the wife's a nurse her sister and cousin are nurses, and we have friends who are doctors and LPNs... They all agree this is nothing more than media hype, it's basically a new strain of the flu. So was your hands don't cough on people ect clean your house and work area(something people always overlook) clean your car -wipe down the steering wheel and other items you touch and or breath on(basically the inside of your car). Really this is basic adult stuff.
I clean my welding hood inside every day with Clorox wipes as I have been sick for the last couple weeks with an upper respiratory infection (no fever, no aches, just a bad cough, and lots of sinus drainage), I wear nitrite gloves under my regular work gloves (do this anyways to keep my hands clean) I wiped down the inside of my truck yesterday with the Clorox wipes gonna do the household stuff today. But other than that the panic is absurd. I have already heard of two hospitals in the Portland/Vancouver area put out notices that they can't get supplies because people are panicking and stockpiling them up, one hospital will run out of masks by June and will no longer be able to do surgeries at that point because of that and gowns and other stuff that either comes from China or people have bought out.
The media is blowing this way out of proportion and doing more damage than good at this point.
Besides I drink Modelo, not Corona so I have nothing to worry about.
Circus monkeys could do better work than those idiots.

Were usually pretty prepared (just how i was raised), we have a couple months of food for all of us, we have a well and a couple small generators to run the well and pellet stove if needed. We have about 2 months of dog food and a couple ton of hay for the horses.
The only thing were worried about is other people.
The cure for a Cancer, morphs to create the zombies.
It takes two weeks, it is spread air borne, they isolate NY, there was no cure for over 3 years.
Is this our future, I am a reasonable person and have been trying to follow the distancing rules, but how long can this last?
Anyways we picked up a clutch for one jeep and a set of brakes for the other, trying to get a few projects done during the down time.
It's a good movie. I'd like to think we are much more in a movie like contagion and there is a closer end on the horizon. However, shit is weird right now. I like to think I have a prepared mindset, I did a ton of research on the Katrina aftermath with context, stories and data sets. I felt it helped me in my prep and mindset as a real life and close to home example. However now being in this situation and all the scary potential, i'm not ready at all.

We were pretty prepared before this all started. My father-in-law and I spoke about “being prepared” for any thing major that could happen in Portland many years ago. I started preparing a container of basic items then. Once we realized the seriousness of the Coronavirus, we went through supplies and added where necessary. We already had plenty of toilet paper, water, canned food, etc.. our main priority was to keep the fridge and freezer well stocked and pantry full of necessities.

We are the point that we are going to venture to the store for luxury items tomorrow. We went for a drive to test the new clutch yesterday and Wal Mart and other stores appeared to be as busy as usual.
Think more interesting times are to come before thing get back to normal.
