So where do i begin? last week the transmission went out in my daily driver at 70MPH which then grenaded my engine. So i needed a new daily driver because i didnt want to put 90 miles a day on my Cummins. I wanted something i could work on, something i knew, and something that was cheap to repair. Enter the Cherokee. 1993, 4.0L, AX15/NP231, 30/8.25 (welded), 3" freedom off-road lift, 33x12.50x15 Cooper tires, 175K miles. The last owner (second owner) installed a header, mustang injectors, tie rods, hubs, shocks, passenger axle, clutch kit, u-joints. First thing that had to happen was the Raider stickers had to go lol it even came with a spare open diff rear axle from a 98

Nice find. I like how the fender flares look like they belong there. Some days I miss my old 88 Laredo.

I ordered up a bunch of typical maintenance items for it, valve cover gasket, breather grommets, plugs, cap, rotor, plug wires are new and quality so i will leave them, oil filter adapter seals, u-joints, new lift struts for the rear hatch.
still need to pick up oil and filters on my way home
depending on what the family has planned for this weekend i may be able to get the front bumper modded for my 12K pound winch with synthetic rope.

stopped last night and picked up the o-ring kit for the oil filter adapter.... only to find out there is no adapter. Looks like the PO removed the adapter, the filter just screws directly to the block. my outside sales guy has been looking for a Cherokee, he seen it as he drove by work today and had to call and tell me i suck lol. He says he is going to be back at the branch Thursday and may make me an offer on it. he only knows what the guy i got it from was asking, he doesn't know how much i actually paid for it, but it would have to be a pretty good offer.

did basic tuneup last night, plugs, cap, rotor. i left the wires because they look brand new. Runs smoother, had ac delco plugs in it and number 5 or 6 had buildup on it, not sure how much spark it was actually getting.
